Sometimes the only way to know if a tent is worth its salt is in extreme situations. If it doesn't work, don't use it again.

It was Trinity in '09, but it rings a bell. Yes our bags are in and we had to slip in.. I love zip ties..

Keepin' the wife happy. A taste of home..

(again, disclaimer that I'm likely the worst photographer on HST)

Eric;
Who cares about your photography skills. I want some of what's being served in that photo.
Actually, I do a smoked salmon ritual every year for the usual family gatherings, and it sounds similar to that which you posted, at least in a general sense. But your application is very nice. Sometimes, the wife and I take fresh baked cookies into the wilderness, and that is always good.
Cheers,
Herm

I'm not so sure. How you got a photo of yourself when both of your hands are busy with food is a pretty amazing photographic skill in my book. :)

Early morning view from my camp above and shot of my campsite at Ambition Lake in Blackcap Basin.
I prefer to sleep under the stars, so only use a tent if it looks like rain. I misjudged the weather this time. Sprinkles woke me up at 2am, so I quickly set up my tent, and the skies opened up just as I was climbing in. Thunder, lightning and strong winds battered my tent, but it kept me dry. Strange weather for August.
