Thought I'd try something different. This thread is dedicated to prime campsite views. Showcasing tents, camp kitchens, and other photos along that theme.

I'll start.

I have a habit of taking several pictures of my campsite in the morning, from different angles. In the evening usually there is not enough light by the time my camp is set up. Here is one shortly before sunrise.

(tent = northface roadrunner, not fond of mesh tops as there is only a single barrier to rain)

camp leconte divide72.jpg
On LeConte Divide above Martha Lake to the right, Rainbow Lake(Blackcap Basin) to the left, and Confusion Lake just below the peaks ahead. It rained like hell the day before, with lightning strikes, until sunset. I woke up to clear, clean skies and excellent views. SEKI August 2012
My tent is a REI Chrysalis UL solo. I really like it, not a lot of room, but it kept me dry on this trip, which was very stormy. Notice, though, the plastic garbage bag over the front. I had to rig this up after the transparent(plastic) porthole failed on my first night out. Apparently the high humidity of my Southern climes compromised the adhesive around the porthole. The garbage bag was a hassle but worked well. :bear:
