Wonderful posts by all.....Is there a solution for taking star photos, not necissarly star trails, with a camera that doesnt have exposure more than 30 seconds?

Lots of trial, and error with star photography, but a tripod is needed, and for static star
shots you cannot shoot over 30 seconds because the stars start to rotate, which means
blurring.
Here is a shot taken due south from above a small lake in Pioneer Basin at
around 12:30 am.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
