I had this one in the Carrizo Plain from a few weeks ago just come back from the lab. Any of you have some cool "sky shots"?

Cool Mike! Good to see you posting again. I take it access to the ol' computer is a tad easier now?

GREAT PICTURES!! Oh, how I wish I could take pictures like those! I've always considered myself as pretty artistic, but I've just never been very good at the "camera" medium.

Yup, with Mike back...the world is a much better place.
Even though you realize this is all just a clever ruse...just designed to let me not find that hidden North Dome spring.
The lengths...
All kidding aside...get well soon buddy.
Nice pics, BTW...
I am artistic too...I draw flies. Ar Ar Ar

Yep, getting down here is much easier, but getting out is a bit of a challenge...but well worth it!

Mark, still haven't forgotten and hope to see this spring for myself next year!

This was taken in the summer of 1997 while camped just above Bishop Lake near Bishop Pass. I love lenticular clouds!

Sky Shot

Postby Robert » Mon Jul 24, 2006 7:52 am

Here's side view of the sky! Taken from a private jet at an altitude of 45,000 feet. Notice how dark the sky above becomes at this altitude. Looking up, it becomes black.
