Snow Nymph;
Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing. Until I saw your shots, I had forgotten about all of the aspens on the north fork of Big Pine Creek.
Cheers,
Herm

Great shots Snowy!
I was really surprised how early the leaves at Rock Creek turned this year!

Re: October Fall Colors
There was a lot of that. This is the weirdest year I have seen in a long time. I go the same weekend every October and sometimes I am early, sometimes i am late, and sometimes(rarely) it is perfect. This year was so unpredictable. You could have a big patch of orange/red surrounded totally by green. You could have green in one canyone and less than a mile away full of yellows at the same elevation. Other areas had some trees with color and no leaves right next to it. Really strange. There is a good range of color here. Can't remember the name of the mountain but it is the big beautiful one WNW of Grant Lake.maverick wrote:What a difference of color running up the hill.

Re: October Fall Colors
As someone stuck at sea level wishing he was there now, a big thank you Snowy and Mountaineer for brightening the end of what had been a bleak day.
