Snow Nymph;
Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing. Until I saw your shots, I had forgotten about all of the aspens on the north fork of Big Pine Creek.
Cheers,
Herm

Great shots Snowy!
I was really surprised how early the leaves at Rock Creek turned this year!

There was a lot of that. This is the weirdest year I have seen in a long time. I go the same weekend every October and sometimes I am early, sometimes i am late, and sometimes(rarely) it is perfect. This year was so unpredictable. You could have a big patch of orange/red surrounded totally by green. You could have green in one canyone and less than a mile away full of yellows at the same elevation. Other areas had some trees with color and no leaves right next to it. Really strange. There is a good range of color here. Can't remember the name of the mountain but it is the big beautiful one WNW of Grant Lake.

As someone stuck at sea level wishing he was there now, a big thank you Snowy and Mountaineer for brightening the end of what had been a bleak day.
