Those are great John!

To answer your question, absolutely! I was more active before my knees went south. I really love wintertime! I just need to find an easy way to get through deep snow....without bending.

Great photos John. I love winter photography as much as summer. Last chance I had though was last winter with a trip up to Olmstead Point, awesome trip but got socked in with fog which made photography tough.

Yep. If I had to choose its probably one of my favorite trails out of the valley, and in the winter makes the high country fairly accessible from the west, although still a pain in the you know what. Since moving back to the bay area from southern california, I definitely miss the 'short' drives up to the east side during the winter - not as many easy access routes to big mountain scenery in the winter from the west side.

Snow Creek switchbacks are a good climb. I hear you re. access to the alpine winter from the westside. But then again I've always wanted to shoot a Yosemite Valley winter.... A long way from here!
