Flaming Ediza

Post by maverick »

There are those special occasions which we photographers live for, this is one of
them for me.
While out on this trip I had a strong monsoonal flow bring in several thunderstorms
into the Minaret area.
Waking up an hour before sunrise as I usually do, sometimes earlier, I could tell that
there was something special brewing to the east, and could hardly wait for the rays of
the sun to play its intricate magic, like an artist with his paint brush, etching colors
on the clouds above Lake Ediza.
Sometimes we get such intense colors that no color adjustments or enhancements are
needed, and this was one of those glorious moments.

PS This looks fantastic in as a 12x18, or larger print, which would make a special gift to
yourself, another Sierra enthusiast, family member, or even your dog!
