Oh, and here's my recent addition to the Lake 11818 portfolio. Taken about 3 weeks ago.

Shout out to lostcoyote, it was a pleasure meeting you down below Lake Martha. Hope your friend with the bum ankle made it out OK.

you mean like this:

lake 11951 in western ionian basin (from its north end)

did you get any pictures of lake ~12260 west-northwest of lake 11951 which is right at the SW base of goddard

p.s. mike, nice meeting you at martha - who was your shirtless leader again?

This lake has a register.

Yes. There is only one campsite and I do mean only one! There was a small pile of rocks tied with a rope so wondering what the deal was I picked it up to find a small bottle lake register.

I also drank from that lake. :\ The Red Copeopods and the water fleas where so thick on every single inch of shore line that it was completely impossible to get a clean bottle of water. I even tried to run water through my shirt but it did not work. I just gave up and drank the fleas. :drinkers:

Shirtless leader was named Rob, who is a damned strong hiker for a guy approaching 60 (or any age for that matter). Here he is - as well as my wife - at your referenced "hashpipe" lake. Likewise, I was unaware of a register there...something to look for on a future visit.

(I'll spare you the photo of him sunbathing in his speedo at our near-Martha camp...)

Your about 15 feet from the register in that photo. That small patch of dirt to the left is the only camp.

The two notches with snow on the far left are the ones I came down. The one on the right is the one I thought I would die in.
