Awesome pictures everyone! I can't wait to take more on my next trip. Here's a shot of Sword Lake. I think one of the far peaks is Iceburg Peak, but I could be wrong. :smirk:

Absolutly cool. I love it. How many times have most of us seen somthing like this and thought we died and went to heaven, or at least hoped this is what it would be like.

That was the evening after climbing Half Dome for my first time. I was setting up for some time lapse photography. I ended up getting in 200 shots (one every 30 seconds) before a bear knocked over my camera and broke my lens. I have not processed many shots yet.

A bear? I'd like to read more about the bear story. Please don't keep us guessing.

I'll make a trip report thread when I get everything processed. Don't want to clutter up this great photo thread.

A bear played soccer with our bear cans about 1am. He got nothing. I guess he didn't like the red light and clicking of my camera as it was continuing to shoot via my intervalometer (I was in my tent quite a ways away). The camera was about 20 feet from the cans. I guess that was too close. The camera continued to shoot for the next couple hours but all the shots were black. I didn't know the camera was messed with until morning. Everyone has asked if the bear showed up on one of the shots. No. I was shooting with a 20-sec exposure and I doubt he would stand still that long.......

When I first took up backpacking I realized I needed something to slow me down out there so I could savor the experience. Fishing was it.
