Thanks Sierra and Hetchy.
I hope your planning to get out soon Sierra nothing come close to relieving pain to my soul
than spending some time out in the Sierra.
Hetchy have you ever explored the Slide Canyon area, it is the cross-country route
down to Smedberg instead of the round about trail way.
You can cut off some of the trail at the beginning by going over Ice Lake Pass using
Little Slide Canyon which is really fun instead of going up towards Peeler Lake.

Continuing to follow spring up into the mountains. Midday April 6, 2009 in the Merced River Canyon below Yosmeite NP, blue oak, poppies, miniature lupine, popcorn flower, birds-eye gilia, clover, and a few fiddleneck. Provia 100F 4x5 transparency thru a 150mm Nikkor, crude flatbed scan.

My friend setting up his tent on the bare granite on the southwest end of Lake Aloha. An awesome view of the Crystal Range was just to the left of this shot. Taken with my Kodak Z730 P&S with a Kodak Retinar 0.6x wide angle adapter.
