I've always wanted to ski in there to witness a Tehipite spring! One of these years....

24 years ago...on the rim of Tehipite Valley. Sporting my Air Jordans; an experiment, they were great for rock climbing, but terrible as trail hikers. Both of my big toe nails bruised and have never been the same. I'd quit my crappy job in SF and was headed into the Middle Fork for 10 days with a friend. He fished all day while I explored and photographed this pristine habitat with my two Canon F-1's, a bunch of big heavy lenses, a huge tripod and about 60 rolls of film. It seems like just yesterday!
