Two of my favorites from recent Sierra High Route trip from DP to TM.

Minaret Lake - first morning

Morning 3, between Twin Island Lake and Blue Lakes

Meadow below Harriet Lake, after crossing over Blue Lakes Pass

From a photography perspective only, the lack of clouds for all but a few as we scurried over Blue Lakes Pass was disappointing. However, considering the unsettled weather last week in the Sierra, i'm thankful for our timing.

The ranger who has his backcountry cabin near this lake refered to it as "Long Lake". Does anyone know the location of this lake? I've already written as to where this is.

Early morning reflection on middle Crabtree lake, looking northwest. That's the Picket Guard drainage on The Great Western Divide in the distance. Shot with a Nikon D50 with a 200mm lens. SEKI, August 2008.

Cross country
Is that Long Lake on the way to Bishop Pass (looking roughly North)? It's not the Long Lake in Little Lakes Valley.

Vandman,
Great illusion of water dropping off into the void; nice shot!
