I don't recall the exact exposure time, but its on the minutes scale (don't have the original file handy to see). I've found there is definitely more noise in digital than film (although the new cameras now are pretty awesome). It can be dealt with to a certain extent but beyond that your stuck - you can't really see it with this size but I'd be hesitant to print something like this extremely large due to the noise.
I feel a little funny posting with all you that I admire so much.....But I woke up this morning and found out that this picture was picked and featured as Photo of the Day on the front page of webshots..I felt so honored that they picked my image..t was very exciting for me

madeintahoe, your shots are VERY good and this one is AWESOME! Not only is it a beautiful photo, but it's of a rarely photographed, remote place that took a lot of sweat and calories to reach! Congrats on the front page of Webshots, well deserved!
