Certainly not the best of the group but some of my better ones from last year:
Tuolumne Meadows - Memorial Day 2008
Yosemite Valley - July 2008 (During the fires)
Indian Paintbrush along the trail towards Glen Aulin - July 2008

My landscape shots won't begin to compare to those taken by the many talented photographers on this board, but I thought I'd add a little flavor by posting a couple of my favorite Sierra trout shots.
Fishing Before the Storm
Waited until an October storm rolled in at Heather Lake in the Desolation Wilderness (or I may have just gotten lucky), with the darkening skies and chop on the water's surface adding an extra luster to the spawning colors of the brook trout.
Colors of the Backcountry
Taken mid-morning on a clear September day at Woodchuck Lake, half-submerged under water with the bright orange fins providing a nice contrast against the gravel bed.
Well, I guess I'll include one landscape shot..
Woodchuck and Beyond
The smoke from the Tehipite fire had given the entire area a hazy veil for the last few days but as we took a look east back toward Crown Lake, we found that a stiff wind had succeeded in clearing the sky and revealing a magnificent view of the White Divide beyond Blackcap Basin.

Picking three definitely is difficult. So I decided to go for three different moods and places.
New snow, Yosemite Valley by Swinging Bridge, January 2008
McClure Meadow, Evolution Valley, August 2008
Lewis Creek below Vogelsang Pass, September 2008

Time for nominations! A quick recap of how this works:
NOMINATIONS:
1) Between February 14th and February 28th I will accept nominations from the group of photos submitted (by name - see importance of #4 above) to be included in the final vote.
2) Only one photo nomination per member will be accepted, and you cannot vote for your own photos.
3) Nominations will be accepted by either PM'ing or emailing your selection to me. Please include photo name and photographer name in your nomination correspondence.
4) Only the Top 10 nominated photos will be included in the final poll. It is possible a single photographer may have more than one photo make it into the final 10. If ties occur, the photo which was nominated first (time stamp of the email or PM) will be selected - so get your nominations in early!
