nameless pond reflection about the Silver Divide

Odd how stale this HSP sub-forum is this summer. Isn't anyone getting out? Well at least without smoky skies? The above pic was during my recent 6-day Silver Divide backpack that may be my only trip this summer as I have other issues to deal with. The above taken about 8:45am August 2 is a Provia 100F 4x5 transparency thru a 150mm Nikkor lens at f43 and 1/15 second. Bistort gone to seed with a few Pierson's paintbrush and alpine asters amongst turf no one need mow in this classic glacial granitoid timberline landscape.
I did a bit of wildflower closeup work with my little digital Coolpix too. This Kelley's tiger lily was in the late afternoon shade. I got below it about 15 inches in order to place it up against the sky using flash.
Well here's me in my full mosquito season warrior hiking clothing with my huge 70+ pounds of pain. The Gitzo G-1325 plus head alone is 6.8 pounders. Jean's cuz I am brutal with my pants about the crosscountry areas I explore, a well zippered synthetic shell I typically leave the front unzipped (no shirt beneath), and a cap with a full neck/ear drape that is velcro detachable. No squeeter probosci can penetrate my armor. Since I've had no warmup backpacks this summer, and am getting older, the first couple days I was more sore than I wanna be, and the result was cutting back on the trip itinerary. My bro Joe and I had a fine time. Caught fish and enjoyed the experiences.
