Since I've been a bit bored lately, I've been trying to "perfect" my B/W conversions. Here's a some new and old shots...

Thanks!

Michael (Windwalker) helped me get "Castle Rock" on my first day I had my camera back in 2005. I borrowed his lens (100-300mm) to take that photo. I ended up buying it, now it's for sale...

Your processing for bold light really has excellent impack Mike. All rather classic subjects very well done. Tell us how your prints come out.

Great pictures Mike!

Mount Conness was my favorite also. I've always liked black and white for those same reasons, Madeintahoe. Color photographs are beautiful, for sure, but sometimes the color itself becomes the main focus. Black & whites show depth, contrasts, and textures of the subject. It would be hard to say which is a favorite between color and black & white.

Fortunately, with all you great photographers on the Board, we don't have to make a choice! :)
