Finally made the probably the most remote lake basin in the Sierra!!
It was as beautiful as I had envisioned and so much more!!
Views, views and more views towards Whitney and beyond!!!
Here is the link to a few of the pictures taken during my 10 day trip
in Sept.

Mav, just beautiful shots! A place I've been dying to go to - and failed a few times trying as well. Next summer, I'm going, rain, snow, sun, blisters, tallus, wife, whatever....none of it will stop me :D

Thanks for sharing the photos!

Thanks Trailblazer! It isnt easy to get too which makes it that much
more of an adventure!
Menlo Park! I work out at the Woodside Priory and lived in San Carlos
till we moved to Fremont a few months ago which my wife hates(its for
only a year).
I do not mind since I finally have a descent hill at Mission Peak to train
on.

Those are awesome! Any PSing done before posting? Those sunset shots are intense!

No Mountaineer did not need to. After the storm passed the show
began at sunset.
I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time. We
all experience the waiting around and nothing worthwhile develops(alot
of times), either the colors fade to fast or really do not develop into
anything worth taking a picture of.
By the way I liked the first photo alot in you recent post and the ones
at Mineral King were nice too!

Stunning shots, Maverick, absolutely stunning! :) I'm suddenly yearning to break out the maps to start planning! Good job! Any chance we'll be seeing a trip report on your ten-day journey? I'd love to read about it!

Mav ... these are really great. I especially love the reflection second to last. I have got to get some more info on this place. I think we all would like to see a trip report.

The snow just got here and already i am ready for it to melt ;)
