Question for the pro photographers

Post by mountaineer »

I have several rolls of Ektachrome 64 Tungsten Professional Film. What kind of effects will this have on outdoor photography? Should I waste time experimenting or should I try to sell it to some pro that can actually use it for its intended purpose? I don't do a lot of indor photography.

Tungsten film is balanced for tungsten lighting (aroung 3200k; artificial lighting) instead of daylight (around 5500k), so chances are you'll get a blue cast if you use if for outdoors. You can try compensating with an orange-hue filter, but you might not like the results. If you hit the 35mm equipment UseNET groups you might get more technical info than I can provide. :)
