I’m another person who’s enjoyed following your saga. I especially appreciated the Cartridge Creek descent since I’ll never do it and it gave me the opportunity to at least see it. I also especially loved the Mt. Still summit views with the whispy clouds and Upper Basin sunset photos. Throughout your saga, I was continually amazed by how dry the landscape was due to the lack of snow.

Thanks for sharing your remarkable journey with the rest of us.

I looked at every single image over the last few weeks and must say this was one epic trip. Made the Sierra appear smaller from my computer screen, because obviously the viewer of these images doesn't have to do any of the walking. There were images from a lot of places I always wondered about and other places I never even considered travelable terrain, all giving me new ideas for future trips.

One thing I know for sure is that if I ever have the time to do a Pacific Crest Trail hike, I will do a 100+ day Sierra hike instead. There's really nothing much at all I care to see outside the Sierra worth all that time, while exploring the mountains I love like you did this summer looks like a much more rewarding way to spend all that time.

Awesome trip and just what I needed to lose myself in over morning coffee when the weather here turns to exo-planet conditions with -50F wind chills in the forecast...

Thanks RoguePhotonic for the great photos! For us middle aged folks in the middle of raising little kids and who get out just a handful of days per year, you inspire us to try and get out more and to look forward to trips with my kids in a few years. I am putting those lakes west of Observation peak on my Bucket List! One day I will make it there! Thanks again!

Glad you all enjoyed it. Making carrying all that camera weight worth it in the end.

Not sure what will happen this coming year. Work has been slow right now so unless something picks up decently I wont be able to afford going out for so long. Might have to be scaled way back.
