Never noticed that goodale road before. What is it like up there? Any good destinations from the end of the road? I'm tempted to mountain bike some of these roads during the shoulder seasons.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org

Probably about like the road a little to the north that leads to the Red Lake TH. A real pain in the backside. I'd rate it a 3/4 (as done in the dark - maybe a 3 during daylight).

Any knowledge of Armstrong canyon road above Scotty Springs?

I'm thinking of driving my Jeep Wrangler up there for the approach to Mt Pinchot.
