well, they updated the page:
This page will not be updated until new information is available.
The Tioga Road has been partly plowed for its entire length. Now, road crews are working to remove snow from the entire width of the road and plow turnouts and side roads. In addition, road crews will be removing rockslides and redirecting snowmelt across the road to reduce icy road conditions. Finally, Olmsted Point is still unsafe due to avalanche danger.

Beginning Friday, June 10, the Tioga Road will be open to bicycles from Crane Flat to Olmsted Point. There will be no access beyond Olmsted Point due to the avalanche zone just east of Olmsted Point. From the east, the road is open to bikes from US 395 to the west end of Tuolumne Meadows. It will be signed accordingly. Please be on the lookout for debris falling into the road and administrative vehicles travelling back and forth.

They are very, very close. An LA Times article (in yesterday's paper?) about the plowing effort hints the road may open as early as next week. Avalanche danger near Olmstead Point appears to be the the crux.

Bottom line today: open to bicycles from the west all the way to Olmstead Point and from the east all the way to Tuolumne Meadows.

Here's the pic from the Yose status page:

That plus the side roads might take more than a week, but, we'll see. Still, if you go up there to hike, guess what you're hiking on until at least Julyish sometime. Guess the HSC's at vogelsang and merced won't open up until 7/29 at the earliest. I would think that is dependent on whether the trails are stock capable.

Tioga Pass Rd was open today for cars from Lee Vining to the south end of Tioga Lake-about half a mile from the entrance station. I took advantage of it and drove up.
Tioga Lake was still all ice,but Ellery Lake was about 30% ice free.
The road to Saddlebag Lake was closed.

LMBSVG guessed June 17…closest one to June 18 opening announcement-
BTW, Tim hedged his July 24th guess and also included June 17…(alas, no double guessing!).
Looks like we have a (wiener) winner!
Nice job LMBSVG!

It's pretty sorry when a county website comes out with the info before your own
official NPS site does!

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Very true. Probably a person vs. process issue with how the NPS website gets updated.

Now, hopefully, http://tenaya.ucsd.edu/tioga/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; can get their Tioga webcam back on it's casters.

Oh, I dunno, it probably doesn't look a lot different from what it did back in December '09, right now :p
