Ride from Whitney Portal to west side, Aug 8

It's a long shot, but is there any friendly HST'er who happens to be driving from Whitney Portal to anywhere on the westside (Bakersfield, Visalia, Fresno) on August 8 who has room for my vaccinated self and my unvaccinated 17 year old? We are both willing to wear masks and I am willing to pay a fair amount for such a ride. My wife really does not want to drive 5 hours each way to pick us up. In the event that you can't find a ride, there are bus connections. ESTA from Lone Pine to Mojave Junction. Kern Transit from there to Bakersfield.
