I'll go with June 21st even though Mike already took the date.
I hope the snowcat they sent up was carrying a copious amount of charcoal dust to spread on the snow covering the road.

Plows are plowing in 8 feet of snow one mile west of White Wolf (near Siesta Lake).

Snowpack in the Tuolumne River basin was at 149% of average this year as of May 1. View a list of previous opening dates. There is no estimated date for opening.

Couldn't you just strap on the skiis, the shovel and be there in like 14 hrs and clean down the floor of your tent and the store? :D

The park service web site reports that they started plowing at the May Lake junction yesterday and that plowing will begin tomorrow (May 15) from Tioga Pass. I assume this means the road is clear to Tioga Pass from the east side and they will begin to plow from Tioga Pass west until the two plowing efforts meet somewhere in between for a golden spike ceremony (hopefully on June 7, my predicted date). Making really good progress.
