Inyo NF:
The Eastern Sierra has experienced heavy rainfall in the past few days. Several roads have had flooding or mudflows.

The Horseshoe Meadows Rd. closed last night for a mudflow below the campgrounds. A big thank you to Inyo County Roads who worked throughout last night to re-open that road.

Currently, Highway 168 East (towards the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest) is closed for flooding. Please check with Cal Trans for updates:

Although not with the forest, the following roads are also closed in Inyo County due to flooding:

Willow Spring Road, at N. Eureka Valley Rd.
Death Valley Rd.
Eureka (Sand Dunes) Rd.
N. Eureka Valley Rd.

There is still more rain in the forecast for today and more flooding is possible. Please take care when travelling through the area, especially through narrow canyons and through recent burn areas that may be unstable. Be safe and turn around if needed.
