Do any of you own a Henry Shires Tarp Tent? I got mine delivered today. This is going to be a bit different to use...as I have only used free standing tents. I am setting it up outside..was told I could use my ski pole I hike with..but the grommet hole is to small for the end of the pole..it is not fitting :( Looks like I may have to buy a set of hiking poles. Also if there are any users here, do you have any tips I should know that helps with a better set up?
Thanks everyone

I don't own one but use a similar tarp, so I don't know if this will work, but you can try to use some tie out rope to tie a figure 8 type loop, where one loop hooks through the grommet and the other hooks onto your pole. You may also want to try to contact hs about his, I hear the customer service is outstanding.

I don't know just what the ski pole tip looks like but it would probably be easier to just replace the gromet with a larger one.

Thank you both trailblazer & Gary!

I will borrow a friends hiking poles this time....and then fix it when I get back

TB...yes the customer service was very good, when I called she handed Henry the phone & I told him what I was looking for..he ask me a few questions.and took my order right then..they had the one I wanted in stock he mailed it out the next day. I was very happy. Interesting design and a great muted color that I think really blends in with the natural environment. Im very excited to use it and see how I like it
Thanks again to you both!
