Costco down jacket

Postby Carne_DelMuerto » Tue Oct 16, 2012 4:00 pm

Just spotted these today...perhaps it's old news.

800 fill down jacket that basically looks like a Patagonia clone for $70. If it holds up to abuse, that's a deal.

I tried one on at our local store last week. I question its construction. I'd be interested to hear others' thoughts on it.

I've been on lots of adventures where nearly everything went right. For one thing they were adventures because I didn't know how they would turn out. It depends on your perspective.
PS: Like most writing on HST I took the boy scout motto to heart - be prepared.

I have one, and I like the construction. It's been on trail with me only one weekend, but I'm happy with it and think it's a very good deal for a layer that's nearly identical to the Patagonia jacket.

I was thinking the same, but I think CC mistook my signature quote as a post.

Meh, it happens. I was joking and merely giving my friend Mr. Carter some kindhearted, albeit warranted, grief. Nothing more.

went to Costco yesterday, no jacket. Seems to be a regional product. Around here, they consider camoflage and blaze orange clothing outdoor gear.
