First, I apology if this is covered somewhere already but I haven't been able to find much on the subject! We are doing a backpack trip in beginning of August on the High Sierra from Crescent Meadow to Whitney Portal. We plan to take a bus to Mammoth Lakes from Lone Pine after we exit Whitney and spend another week in Yosemite. We are trying to figure out the best way to ship extra stuff since we don't want to carry it on our bp trip and we are coming from CT. I know Lodgepole has a post office and we are camping there the first night, so we are hoping to ship from there. Any suggestions on where to ship to?? Mammoth? Whitney Portal? Lone Pine? Do most places hold packages? Any suggestions would be great!! :)

When I called the Mammoth Lakes post office about a week ago they said they'd hold packages for pickup for 30 days.
