Making a Tent Visible ??

Hi All,
Please don't trash me for this, but I need to make my tent stand out a bit.
I'm participating in a multi-day bike ride with about 2000 participants. As you can imagine, the tent city will be huge!
I want to mount a flag on the top of my dome tent so that it stands out in the crowd.
The flag is about 12 inches by 18 inches. I'm trying to figure out how to attach it to the place where the tent poles cross at the top.
Ideas ?
