I never thought there was a "recipe" for cowboy coffee, but there is, plus a technique to making a good cup. I modified the technique for kitchen use and.....not bad at all! This, coming from a Melita guy.

Wow freestone, that's a lot of work for a pot of coffee. As someone noted in the comments to that video, he used enough wood to roast a pig!
And how do you get "euphoria" out of a cup of coffee?
Entertaining video at the least.
Though I am interested in at least trying this method, maybe while car camping, for backpacking I like my titanium french press.
I am not in a hurry, so don't be hasty.
