Backpacker 2007 Gear Guide

Post by markskor »

The new Backpacker …2007 Gear Guide, just came in the mail.
Interesting that in “packs”, Gregory took four of their Editors’ Choice awards and Granite Gear the other two EC’s in this catagory.
All in all, a captivating read, (totally unbiased?)... especially their opinions about tents, boots, and sleeping bags,
but the stove section (noticeably) looks a little thin.
Comments?

I picked up a issue a few weeks ago but haven't had a chance to"read" it. If it is like 'Outside' which I have gandered at a little at work the other day, a lot of gear is left out. Not like they used to put out. Maybe it takes too much effort to get the mag out in a timely manner with all the manufacturers and keeping track of which gear they have used, when. I noticed weights were not listed in the 'Outside' magazine. What's the matter with these people? They know more and more folks are concerned about weight.[/i]
Piece of cake.
