To be a little more specific, the stink I am referring to in this case is the one
that settles into the fabric after a while and even after washing it is still somewhat
present. This was especially true with my Patagonia's Capilene for example, but has
never been an issue with the wool shirts (Ibex and Icebreaker) that I have used for
several years now.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Yea capilene stinks, and no the omni freeze has to lingering odor, I used it quite a bit during the summer working, construction as well day hikes and multi day trips.

Great, sound better and better. The only thing some of the reviews pointed out is
that the sizing is a little off, is this your experience too?

I have the buff, looked at the shirts, and they seemed small but they sold out before I could get one. I really wish they made a long sleeved hooded light weight shirt with the omni freeze.

Rockchucker or Robow8, do you have any input on this feature effectiveness?
I have no sense of smell, so I can't help you out there!

I've heard that putting some white vinegar in with the wash will help eliminate the stink.
