On Saturday, my friend Joe and I did a day hike from Rock Creek Lake to
Mount Morgan (S) via Francis Lake. It was a nice hike - we picked up
the use trail that heads up the hill to the right of the drainage that
runs into Lake Francis, which avoided the boulder-filled drainage.
From there it was just a traverse to the saddle and up the ridge to
the summit (more or less).
The view is great from the top of Morgan.

Morgan has some great views!
That boulder field was a pain! We were just south of you guys that day.

When I was up there Oct 16 04 there was snow at the summit and the following morning the first snow of the winter hit. Looks like your pics were dry, such a change from year to year.
PS: I was at Rock Creek Lake Sat afternoon, climbed Pointless Peak on Sun, probably went right by each other at some point.
