Last weekend Tom G. and I did a semi loop hike from Cottonwood Lakes Trailhead to Owens Point then on to Woollyback, down to Muir Lake and back to the trailhead. The hike ended up being 14 miles with a 3,500 foot gain. Photos at http://joeidoni.smugmug.com/gallery/3084665

Joe....beautiful pictures..but it is sooooooo dry down there. That must have been wonderful to see the Big Horn Sheep..and quite a few...very cool.
The cabin and tents..is that the camp on the way into Cottonwood Lakes basin?

Anita, the cabins and tents are on a little side trail about 2.5 miles in on the Cottonwood Lakes Trail. The place is marked as Golden Trout Camp on maps and I'll been told that it's a Boy Scout camp.

Hi Joe! Great shots and trail description. What a nice day for you and TomG. I saw Big Horn Sheep on White Mtn recently. I was beyond thrilled!
