Carson Peak (10,909')

Dayclimbed Carson Peak, out of the June Lake Loop. Weather changed on
us all day long. . . sunny, windy, snow flurries, more sun, more snow
flurries, whiteout, then it cleared as we approached the summit.
Great views!

Dunderberg Peak, 2nd try (12,374')

I tried this peak a month ago, solo. It was too windy, and I was
getting blown all over. I turned back, afraid of twisting an ankle
while trying to catch myself. This time the weather cooperated . . .
blue skies and a little breezy. Secor says Class 2, but there was a
lot of fun Class 3. We looked at a few options for returning a
different way, and decided on a chute that dropped 2,000'. Got down
pretty quick, and it was a fun scree ski (what we could ski)
