There are a lot of great tales mainly about western exploration and the fur trade. Makes for some exciting reading.

I just finished Thomas James "Three Years Among the Indians and the Mexicans." Next is the 1811 trip up the Missouri. Wouldn't it be great to do a kayak trip up or down the Missouri today to see what is left after 200 years? Thanks for posting www. mtmen.org. It's a great site.
