Hey Elliott, as Tomba correctly indicated, it's a Tarptent Notch. Derek used one too on the first half of the trek and loves his as well. It is a pretty awesome tent that allows for a lot of flexibility in set-up.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

I secured my reservation for hiking the JMT this September! Hope to do as much fly fishing as you did!
