Well, I'm headed out again this weekend - I think I've decided on a day hike to Sawtooth Peak in Mineral King for Saturday.
Is it true that the marmots are not a problem this late in the season at Mineral King? I don't want to bring chicken wire if I don't need it.

I was just getting ready to post a message on your Mt. Morgan thread (great pics) about all of that energy you have then I noticed your post here.
Anyway, I've never seen a Marmot problem this late in the season. Last time I was up there (8/13) the cars out numbered the Marmots in all of the trail head parking lots. Some people leave their hoods up just in case, but I think your vehicle will be just fine.
