Most of the casinos have Friday night all you can eat seafood buffets.

Bacchi's is tucked away in the woods just north of Tahoe City. It is very good old style Italian and has been there for many decades. (It has always been good when I went there, but a few recent Yelp reviews say it's gone downhill.) Sunnyside Resort on the northwest shore has a deck on the water that gives divine atmosphere. As mentioned, Beacon Bar and Grill at Camp Rich also has nice atmosphere. River Ranch Lodge is on the Truckee River at the turnoff to Alpine Meadows. Their deck is above some high Class II to low Class III rapids and you can watch kayakers navigate the whitewater (unsure how good food is now). On CA 89 just north of the South Y (in South Lake Tahoe) is a fairly good Mexican place called Cantina de los Tres Hombres. Truckee has a couple of nice places.

Many other of my old favorites have changed hands, so I don't know about current quality.
