Nice trip- didn't see too many people for being on a trail most of the time. I know there are alot of pics here, I didn't do so great on the sorting process.....

Awesome trip! Loved the "Barnard" section. Almost like I walked thru there with you. It rained as we hiked to it. That's when we saw the tornado! I remember the bushwacking to get to the campsite. And that tall grass John is walking thru. That was on of my favorite trips! Thanks for photographing the register entry! I wondered if it would be there. Can't wait to get to the Sierra again! 24 hours!

Nice photos. They elicit fond memories of that area (haven't been in Onion Valley/University area since the 80's and the Shepherd-Cottonwood corridor since 1996). I'm sorry to see that they took down the magnificent original register on Barnard (as of 1996 only about 60% full and dating back to first placing in 1936) and did not replace it. This loss of summit register thing is very sad. Anyhow, it's great to see those gorgeous photos.
