Advice re Beck Lakes - Shellenbarger Lake - Dike Creek

Has anyone done this before? Secor mentions going down Iron Creek after crossing Beck Lakes Pass, but it seems possible to go over the ridge to Shellenbarger Lake, down the outlet creek, and then down Dike Creek to the North Fork San Joaquin. Seems like a good, direct way up to Bench Canyon from Red's Meadow valley. Mainly just wondering about the difficulty of route finding, cliffs/wrinkles, etc. Time would probably be late July. I've attached an image of the route I had in mind. Any tips/info would be much appreciated. Cheers, all.

What I immediately notice is one must climb 3300 feet from Devil's Postpile, drop 3500 feet from Beck's Lake Pass. Then climb 2800 feet up to reach Blue Lake. If a round trip then 9600 feet total or rather strenuous. Far less vertical coming in from Granite Creek.

Destination is Tuolumne Meadows. It's definitely a bit of a haul but I don't mind. Thanks for the feedback.
