Gold panning....

Post by Packtofish »

Anybody ever packed and tried panning in the backcountry? I grew up outside of Yosemite and used to pan the creeks as a kid, but never tried up high. Wonder if it would be worth strapping one to the pack....

I panned for gold when I was a kid, I think we found some, it was a loong time ago. I have no idea where it went. San Gabriel River east fork if I remember right. People still pan for gold now. It sure may pay off now days. Good luck prospecting !!!
