China Peak resort is reporting 27-38 inches base (7000') to peak (8700'). My father recorded a good 18 inches on the other side of Huntington Lake overnight Sunday.

1' here at 7,200 feet, 6" in Bishop as of yesterday, 40" mammoth pass. Thick and unconsolidated on a ski up McGee yesterday. Settled quite a bit over night, should be pretty good by week's end.

For remote backcountry sites go to CDEC and under SNOW check their remote site pages.

For ski resorts check snowcountry.com for California.

Check the snow survey report, showing snow water content and percent of average April 1 snowpack, for a number of back country snow sensors:

Since I live in the valley just below Mineral King, I always like to look at the webcams at Mineral King (7800'):

Skied the Mammoth Crest today. Probe depths were 3-4 feet at 10,000'. Solid 2 feet in the trees. The snow settled considerably, trail breaking was only about boot high. Snowshoeing should be quite good from any of the high canyon trailheads.
