Gorgeous set of photos, thanks for sharing! I visited Big Fish Lake on a day hike via Knapsack and Thunderbolt passes last July but unfortunately didn't catch any big fish. Fishing aside, this is a lovely area.

Enjoyed your visual tour. Thanks for sharing. Dusy has been one of my favorite destinations over decades with my last trip in 2004. Looks like your campspot near Isosceles was in the same turfy minimalist location I spent a couple nights on that trip. There are many wonderful secret places within its landscape and as a photographer, I have quite a lot of unfinished business. Maybe next year again. If so would basecamp a full 5 or 6 days in the basin while moving about to two or three zones. Since one visit in 1989 I've been wondering about one little nugget of information and one of your images has confirmed that, thankyou.

Looks like it was a great trip.

"A lake tucked back in the corner of Dusy Basin." 11393'? That was the destination for my husband's 50th birthday...a lot less snow then and it was early July.

Thanks SM for taking the time to share, and putting these photo's together!
Lake 11393 has been my favorite ever since my first time visiting Dusy Basin back
in the 80's.
With the ideal conditions, no breeze (mirror reflection), and after thunderstorms so
the Crest is glowing at sunset, it really can be a magical place.
Unfortunately the last time visiting this lake, several years ago, a SAR chopper was
just taking off with the body of a climber who had fallen near Isoceles Peak.

Really enjoyed those photos. Those lakes deep in Dusy Basin tucked beneath Isoceles are some of my favorite in the whole range.
