Mineral King Loop ?

A friend and I are looking into doing Mineral King loop in the next few weeks. Looking for advice and recomendations. I don't have permits yet.. tough to get ? Is it a worth while trip? How's the fishing? What campsites are best ( looking to do it in 6 nights, layover day ect) Thanks for your info !!
