Many thanks for another great issue of Sierra Trails.

I've been as far as upper Paradise Valley. I was up there last year (in September) and talked with the crew working on the bridge. They planned to stick it out until October, weather permitting, and then come back this year to finish the job.

I want to take another shot at the Rae Lakes loop this September, right after Labor Day. After seeing your great pictures I'm more excited than ever.

Well, "Sanger, California", my shortcut to Kings Canyon. You are in an ideal location from which to hit the trail. I wish I was zipping through Sanger on my way there right now. The weather looks nice in the area, at least from Hume Lake:

Glad you liked the story. I should do a story on the Rae Lakes Loop, 60 Lakes Basin, with maybe East Lake and Reflection Lake thrown in for good measure. *sigh* I gotta get on the trail soon... :crybaby:

Well, I hate to see you die, so though I had planned and organized the pictures for a whirl through the Post Peak Pass area, I recently did an x-c traverse of the Minarets, so I have therefore now enough pictures to do the full route and story, which I have planned to do for some time:

Now I just have to get down and do it.
