that sucks. My wedding ring was always tight, so, I leave it in the truck. I tend to swell at elevation, so I decided it's safer in the truck than me having to cut it off for circulation.

Hope someone finds it for you.

The PCTA has a crew starting tomorrow working North of Kennedy Meadows. Maybe someone will find it.

RoguePhotonic - Contacted the PCTA in Sacramento and was told they would NOT be out there tomorrow, but the nice person gave me info about the PCTA listserv and Facebook page, which should get my msg to a good number of through hikers. Left word with the Kennedy Meadows General Store, and will leave word with VVR. So, many thanks for the PCTA sugggestion. Hope your upcoming mega-trip is an amazing success! Look forward to many tall tales and fantastic pics!

rlown - Have enjoyed your many posts. Thanks for the words of consolation.

I should have said they will be out there unofficially. It's not a project that is advertised for volunteers. A group of regulars normally clear the trails around Jordan Hotsprings but like last year the road is closed so the project got moved.
As the road to BRTH is not open, we will reconvene our choir practice to Kennedy Meadows TH and do log out(with "saws that sing") of PCT trail north to Beck Meadow, east to Dutch John Flat and perhaps to Lost Meadow(west of PCT).
Not sure how much of that area you hiked in.

I'll send an e-mail to those involved and see if they find anything and let you know.

Good luck finding it. I've found Sierra cups and knives in abundance, but not rings.

Realize that the duff and soil color hide anything that's the color of gold. Sounds like something out of the "Lord of the Rings"... Might be a 1,000 yrs before it's found.
