Thinking of camping at Whiskey Falls. Anybody know what condition the road is?

If you mean the Scenic Byway Whisky Falls, the road seemed to be open, but keep in mind I ran into snow at 6500 feet. That was weekend before last. Lots of campgrounds open to just beyond M. Pool turnoff.

Very enjoyable weekend, although most of the Forest Service roads are still blocked by trees, boulders and snow. I got snowed on briefly hiking from Camp 5 to Whiskey Ridge.

The FS roads up north were open for quite a ways up. Maybe 5000' or a little higher. The dogwood was in full bloom except real high where they were not quite white, but close. The birds were singing, real nice and peaceful for a ride. Where I stopped, the small seasonal creek was bubbling and rolling along. All told, very pleasant.
