Unless I'm mistaken Laura (moosetracks) and Bob Burd just did Observation/Shakespeare in a DAY from Bishop pass- via Barrett Ck. then back up long way around from Kings. Saw pics on her flickr site. Hey she took one with our sign-in from 2009:

Laura- trip report please! Want to know if there is a better way down Barrett Ck. than the east side slide that we used.

Well looking at his log from 2009- he did Marion in a day from Taboose TH, and that seems like a killer. Man does he have good luck with the weather!

Marion in a day!! 11,000+ ft elevation and over 30 miles. Wow. Love that athleticism.

I did Grizzly Meadow out of Kings Canyon in a day and I thought that was something - Ha!
I did have to leave my pack there and backtrack half hour back down to take my ex students pack up to the meadow. He was a 20 year old college basketball player who had just finished the year of playing. I was 40 and he (John Taylor) wasn't even embarrassed, but he was a great kid (young man).

It's amazing how much the human body is capable of with the proper conditioning and attitude. Makes me want to go 22 hours! :)
