"The Tuolumne River" TR 24-28 June 10

Last year I remarked that we do not give rivers there ample respect as
photographers, well I made this trip all about the upper Tuolumne River.
Those of you who have visited the area from Tuolumne Meadows down to
Waterwheel Falls know how beautiful this area is.
My first night was up in the Wildcat Lookout area which gave my a gorgeous
overview of the river from above, and I picked this day because rain, and clouds
were in the forecast, which I got plenty of both, but I also got some of the most
vibrant colors I have yet seen (who needs Velvia).
Thanks for leaving some of the boulders up top Russ they made for some cool
foregrounds in my pic's.
The next two days were spent near Waterwheel Falls were I followed the bank
of the river all the way to LeConte which gets pretty bushy as you get closer to
the falls, but the shot taken at the bottom of LeConte in the woods made it all
worth it.
Waterwheel and LeConte put on a spectacular show at day, and at night!
The last night I stayed at Glen Aulin, and focused in on Tuolumne Falls and
its beautiful rainbow.
It was a great trip, with no skeetrz, no bears, and met some great families.
Here are the pic's, click on the first pic, and it will be enlarged with the others
next to it. http://maverick.zenfolio.com/p61847790" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They are posted in a lower resolution, and samller photo's then usual, which makes for
faster uploading, and no need for the ugly copyright in the photo.
All photo's are for sale in sizes 16x24, 24X36, and some larger, if you are interested
in purchasing drop a PM.
