Hetch Hetchy Backpack

Post by mepi »

I am planning on doing a backpack from the Beehive Trailhead - Lake Laurel - to Wilma Lake - Tiltill Valley - back to the trailhead at the beginning of June over 4 days. Does anybody know what the trail conditions/stream crossings/ snow level might be this time of year? I am guessing the snow will be gone but the stream crossings at Frog Creek and maybe at Falls Creek along Jack Main Canyon could be an issue. I also like to stick to the trails as much as possible so I don't want to do a lot of navigating if the trails are flooded or not maintaned in this area.
I can always just do the Beehive trail - Vernal Lake -Tiltill Valley - back to the trailhead if going higher up will be a problem.
